The Window Energy Profiler (Profiler) and corresponding Window Sales Brochure is a unique system designed to sell energy efficient windows. The Profiler instrument is capable of demonstrating the energy performance of a prospective window buyers' current windows as well as the window samples carried by the salesperson. Measurements include UV Transmission %, Visible Light Transmission%, Infrared Transmission %, and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient.

The corresponding Window Sales Brochure is designed to be used by a salesperson in conjunction with the Profiler. As the Profiler displays the performance properties of the windows, the brochure provides a place to record the performance numbers and see how their current windows perform against other types of windows as well as the salesperson's window. Additionally, the brochure defines the performance properties in easy to understand terms to eliminate confusion and allow for educated buying decisions.

Test the Energy Performance of Windows.
The WP4500 displays four real-time measurements of windows: the estimated SHGC value along with the UV, Visible Light, and Infrared Transmission values.

Test Existing, Installed Windows or Samples.
The WP4500 has a large enough opening to fit over the window sash of an installed window, so a salesperson equipped with the Window Energy Profiler can test the performance of a customer's existing windows.

The "Profiler" is easy and fun to use. You can encourage your customers to take a hands on approach and perform the measurements themselves.

#2: Sales Companion Brochure

The Perfect Companion to Help Sell More Windows
The sales companion brochure, titled Replacement Windows: Making an Educated Decision, helps teach your customers about the importance of energy performance.

The brochure helps customers understand what SHGC, UV Transmission and Visible Light Transmission mean and the type of performance they should be looking for in a replacement window.

The brochure also provides space to record the data measured by the "Profiler" (at left) and compare the performance of their current windows to the energy efficient windows you offer.

Using the Window Profiler Sales System

Bring your window's invisible energy performance to life
For multiple reasons, consumers have placed a great emphasis on energy performance. While the window you're selling may be very energy efficient, its performance can't be seen by the naked eye. The Window Profiler Sales System helps you bring your windows' invisible energy performance to life in front of your customers.

The vast majority of existing windows can't compare to the energy efficient models on the market today. The Window Energy Profiler and Window Sales Brochure provide a powerful one-two punch that can help sell any energy efficient window. Regardless of the size of the company and the name on the window, the Profiler and corresponding brochure put the energy efficiency on display and can help anyone sell their energy efficient window.

Step One: Educate

The Sales Companion Brochure makes it easy to educate consumers about the energy performance of windows. It offers straight forward descriptions of three important performance characteristics:
• Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC)
• Visible Light Transmission Percentage
• UV Transmission Percentage

The brochure defines what this data means, but more importantly, it describes the drawbacks of poor performance and the benefits of superior performance. After looking through the brochure, a consumer is equipped to understand the type of performance they need in a new window. In the next step, you can show them that your window meets this criteria.

Use the brochure to teach your customers about energy performance in simple and concise terms. Also, use it to write the results of the tests in Step Two below.

Step Two: Test Windows and Record Data

The Window Energy Profiler is easy to use. When you turn it on, the unit self-calibrates and is ready to measure the performance of windows.

Start by testing one of your customer's current windows. Feel free to let them take a hands on approach. Use the Profiler to test their own window and then instruct them to write the performance numbers down in the space provided on the brochure.

Next, test the performance of up to two other glass samples, and write the performance in the brochure. Use any samples you want. For example, if your product contains double-silver low-E, you might compare it to a hard coat or single-silver low-E. Glass samples are available here (scroll to bottom of page).

Finally, put the performance of your own window on display! Use the Profiler to demonstrate the performance of your window and write the data down on the brochure in the space provided.

The Window Energy Profiler can test existing windows as well as the window you are selling. Also use it to measure other types of glass samples to help illustrate the energy efficiency of your window.

Step Three: Compare

At this point, compare the performance of your window against their current windows and other glass samples. The design of the brochure makes it easy to compare one window to another. If there is any confusion as to what the data means, refer back to the descriptions (Step One) right there in the brochure. The informaiton in the brochure also helps a salesperson sell the benefits of their energy efficient window.

Help your customers understand how the energy performance of your windows will provide valuable benefits.
Many salespeople have the bad habit of selling product features instead of the benefits a product can provide for a consumer. But the Sales Guide clearly lays out the advantages and benefits of controlling SHGC, blocking damaging UV rays and allowing the right amount of Visible light into the home. Most importantly, it explains these often times confusing concepts and explains them in a clear and consise manner.

Add credibility to your sales demonstration
The Sales Guide doesn't have your logo on it, as it was made by EDTM - not your company. The Sales Guide acts as an impartial 3rd party observer that helps sell good window performance - not a particular window brand. If your window performance is a selling point, you should be selling it with the Window Energy Profiler Sales Guide.
