The standard SK1330 sales kit includes our most popular meters and lamps used for demonstrating the UV and SOLAR performance of your window. Easily illustrating Solar and UV Transmission Percentages WILL SELL your customers.

Solar Light Measurement: <Available Products>
Your customer uses windows to see what is going on around them and to allow them to enjoy their surroundings. However, 70% of your customers heating and cooling bills due to the window are from the sun's light rays and not from conduction which ARGON and KRYPTON are used for.

Solar Meters directly demonstrates the effects of the infrared or heat component part of the sun's light rays on your customers energy bill. Demonstrate your window's performance improvements against single and dual pane clear windows samples. Show your customer why they should buy your product. For a small cash outlay, enjoy the large benefits from increased sales.

The SP2065 meters demonstate energy reductions in percentages. Therfore the customer can see the sun's energy being reduced in an easy to understand method i.e. clear single pane pass 90% of the suns energy and a softcoat low-e can passes less then 45% of the suns energy. It's similar to saying if the sun's energy is $1 or 100 pennies then a customer will now pay approximatey 45 cents to cool their house versus 90 cents for the windows parts of the energy bill.

UV Measurement: <Available Products>

Two main reasons for buying windows that significantly block UV radiation are and fading concerns and health concerns. Forty percent of furniture, picture, etc. fading is due to UV radiation. Skin cancer is also generally traced to exposure to UV radiation.

A single pane window reduces UV energy by approximately 23-28%, a dual pane from 36-41%, while a high performance UV window can exceed an 80% reduction which is dynamic for a sales presentation.

Prove your UV reduction performance in front of your customer. Incorporate the UV1265 and UV1365 UV Transmission & Power Meter into your sales pitch. These meters are extremely simple to use and allow you to demonstrate the UV transmission percentage of your window product.

Visible Light Measurement: <Available Products>

Visible light is the only portion of the sun’s spectrum human eyes can see. This is natural daylight which is the colors of the rainbow. Visible light has mostly good attributes associated with it. Natural light is often desired to make a home or building feel open or well lit. Large amounts of natural light also will reduce the need for lighting in a given structure, thus reducing utility costs.

Window products with high visible light transmission values will result in a clearer and more natural view through the window. Windows that are tinted will have lower visible light transmission values (VLT).

It should be noted that large amounts of natural light can increase the amount of glare. This unwanted element can be aggravating in rooms with televisions or computer monitors.

Educate your customer about visible light performance by talking to them in a simple language they can understand: Visible Light Transmission (VLT) percentages. Prove that your window will allow the appropriate amount of visible light into their home. By doing so, you will quickly win your customer’s confidence in your product.

The infrared and UV heat lamp are essential parts of a successful sale. The sun's radiation accounts for 70% of your customer's heating and cooling bill, but cold spray demonstrations only deal with the secondary effect of conduction. Sell the concept of a hot sun (heat lamp) being controlled by your low-e coated windows by demonstrating with our solar meters.

The UV performance characteristics of your window also should be successfully demonstrated.
Forty percent of furniture, picture, etc. fading is due to UV radiation. UV lamps dynamically demonstrate your windows' capabilities and differentiate you from the average sales person.

Non-Contact Temperature Guns: <Available Products>

Temperate Guns can demonstrate how the infrared or heat component part of the sun's light rays directly affects your customers comfort and their energy bill.

Two main methods of using a temperature gun are:

• For sales performed during the sunny part of the day, point the gun at furniture and other valuables and actively demonstrate how much heat is being added to the house due to the sun's heat rays and explain the damaging effects this can have.

• In climates where air-conditioning costs are higher than heating costs, placing a clear or hard coat Low-E side by side with a soft coat Low-E which is designed to reject heat energy, the temperature gun can be pointed at each sample and the quick rising temperature of the glass pane can immediately be shown to the customer.

 
Low E Detection: <Available Products>

Right behind the actual product demonstration, sales closure is the most important part of the meeting with your customer. The AE1600 and AE4600 Low E Coating Detectors demonstrate to your customer that the windows will be manufactured correctly and installed correctly.

The customer can be assured that the installers will verify the integrity and quality of the windows upon deliver and installation. Since very few houses replace all of their windows at one time, the returning satisfied customer that recognizes your company's competence is the easiest next sale.

Low-E coatings that were incorrectly placed to the inside or the outside of the window will eventually deteriorate and disappear. Low-E coatings that are washed or cleaned will become damaged and will cause steaking and discoloration effects that the customer can see. Educate your customer of these facts, and assure them that your company will use these Low E Coating devices during installation to prevent them from having these problems down the road.

Glass Thickness Measurement: <Available Products>

Glass & Air-Space Meters (GC1000, GC2000) provide two areas where they increase your chances of closing sales.

The first aspect is instilling customer confidence which leads to sales closure. The salesperson can accurately demonstrate to the customer what they have now with their single and dual lite window assemblies and that it will be replaced by a new window with the same dimensional thickness. Nothing costs more than creating window assemblies that are the wrong size since the window manufacturer must eat the cost of that window.

The second area is proving the integrity of the air gap thickness. Bowed glass reflects lights at different angles causing severe consternation with customers in homes or office buildings which have window assemblies that are adjacent to each other but look different.

Increased customer confidence in your window and reduced ordering of incorrect window thicknesses are all part of a successful sales process.

Self Cleaning Glass is a next generation value-added feature for customers. The process of cleaning windows and leaving them streak free is an annoying, time consuming process your customer would rather live without doing.

The Self Clean photocatalytic coating uses the sun’s UV light to gradually break down, loosen and dissolve dirt. The hydrophilic properties of the coating prevent water from beading and the sheeting action carries the dirt away.

The RC2175 and RC3175 Surface Resistivity Meters are the lowest cost method of demonstrating and detecting electrically conductive coatings in ohms/square readings.
